Headwear Trend Forecast Autumn/ Winter 2014

The colour tones for Headwear featured in our forecast for this Autumn Winter include a mixture of:-

 - Ballet Tones

 - Carmine Pink

 - Manganese Blue

 - Cadmium Yellow

 - Burnt Sienna

Many of our hats in store for the Autumn/Winter season make use of these 8 alluring colour tones  and are presented in a range of styles.

Wide brimmed hats will be a popular hat shape for this Winter season along with Animal print. Combining both features this luxurious Angora felt hat embraces a classic chic look.  

Felt is the perfect fabric choice for the colder months as it provides added warmth while also being able to hold structural forms beautifully. This felt pillbox hat shown here in Cadmium Yellow features a beautiful feather & Rose detailing for added sophistication.

This stunning neutral tone Cloche hat has a 1920's structure, finished with floral and feather accents. it's a great hat for creating a vintage inspired look.

This Bridal headpiece features floral and feather detailing suited to the classic elegant style of the dress.  It's a great alternative to having a veil or tiara especially for ladies with shorter hair. 

This customer with a bold princeton orange dress had a matching colour tone base to her hat. Finished with large ostrich feather it truly makes a statement and ties together the entire outfit by balancing the one shoulder dress. 

This piece, made for ascot, features layers of ostrich feathers with a large floral centre. The fascinator in a smokey topaz colouring compliments the neutral colour tones of the outfit whilst also adding height.

Bridal Hair Accessories

The very talented hairdresser Hannah Mlatem came to visit the store last week to create beautiful bridal hairstyles using our classic hair accessories.

Hannah styled the hair into updos creating a range of elegant and sophisticated looks, perfect for a wedding day.

All with a classic style these pieces have luxurious designs which feature sculptured floral elements, pearl detailing and leaf shaped motifs. They all also include quality fastenings to ensure the piece stays in place throughout the day.

Fabulous Fascinators

In our new store, at 13 Cross Street, Abergavenny, you can find a wonderful array of fascinators and accessories in a wide range of colour hues. 

Fascinators are back on trend this season due to the likes of Kate Middleton wearing them with effortless style. They are the perfect headwear accessory for a guest of a special event as they bring a touch of chic to an outfit without being too much. 

We have a range of different styles including both headbands and clips which are secure so that they stay in place all day. They are a perfect accessory to tie the colour tones and texures of an outfit together.

Hats For Henley

With just one week left until Henley 2014 we thought we would pick out some of the best hats we have in store for this seasons Royal Regatta. For the stewards' enclosure ladies are required to wear dresses or skirts with a hemline below the knee, it is also customary for the ladies to wear hats. 

As it's a summer event we've chosen these sophisticated straw hats as they give a chic look with a wide brim to shade the face.  

This bright pink straw hat will add a pop of colour to any outfit and features a stripe and feather detailing that resembles two boating oars.

Royal Ascot Hats 2014

Our customer's hats wowed the crowds at this years Royal Ascot Races. Sacha Harris attracted the attention of both Gok Wan & Grazia magazine.   

The blue tone feathery fascinator beautifully complimented her outfit,  with use of a neutral base finished with a jewel detailing. 

We also had this great image sent in of another customer happy with her hat on a sunny day at Ascot 2014.

Wedding Guest Hat Inspiration

With the wedding season in full swing we have put together some of favourite wedding guest hats that we have in store at the moment that would be perfect for that special occasion.

This black round rimmed hat oozes sophistication, made from sinamay it is lightweight and will shade the face from those summer rays.
