As something a bit different from a traditional veil, a bridal fascinator is perfect for adding a subtle detail to enhance the elegance of your wedding dress.

We have many inspiring events coming up this year to look forward to but one that we are truly excited for is The Queen's Garden Party. Alison recently received an invitation to the Spring event, of which she kindly accepted, and she has now began making her very special hat for the all important occasion.  

Feeling honoured to be in receipt of this invitation we decided to take a look back at some of our millinery creations that have been worn by attendees of past Royal occasions.

With Cheltenham Ladies Day taking place on March 11th in under two months we're showcasing our best hats fit the glamourous occasion.

Hat Colour Trend Forecast - Spring 2015

To get in preparation for the occasion filled Spring season ahead we have collated some of the top colour trends from the recent catwalk shows........ 

CITRUS

This spring these strong, punchy citrus colours are set to be a popular colour choice. Spotted in collections from Michael Kors to Chloe, colours like yellow & lime green are set to become upbeat staples for Spring.

BLACK & WHITE

Continuing through to this Spring is this sophisticated monochrome style. With the use of bold patterns and fabric textures this seasons outfits have been given a dynamic look, reinventing those timeless classics. Our array of black and white hats emulate the chic style with a using a variety of formations & detailing.          

PASTEL TONES

This soft, clean colour palette is perfect for the Spring season. With a mixture of delicate ballet tones teamed with a floral design you can create a classic feminine outfit ideal for a special occasion. Opulent Accessories

Fascinator Collection

As well as our hat collection we also have an array of fabulous fascinators to suit every outfit and occasion. Our designs are available with either a hair band, clip or comb fastening to suit the wearers preference. 

We have chosen some of the best fascinators we have which are perfect for those special winter occasions. 

The fascinators above combine a base of black with a pop of bold colouring in magenta & Royal purple. Elegantly perched on a side they make a statement with their defined, structured details giving a chic finish.

Hats Ready For Hennessy

Named as one of the winter's biggest social events the Hennessy Festival has become one of the most anticipated events in the racing calendar.

The festival presents three days of races which capture the competitiveness, history and elegance of the sport. The prestigous event attracts a host style icons and celebrities such as Joan Collins & Elaine Paige. This year the event is set to take place from November 27-29th.

Inspired by Downton Abbey

With the return of Downton Abbey this month we've been inspired to put together some winter hat inspiration for those who adore the vintage style.

Our felt cloche hats encompass the classic, elegant Edwardian styling of Downton Abbey beautifully. With their structured shape they display flawless craftsmanship and are available in a range of colour tones & designs.

During the 1900's, when the Cloche was first introduced, it was said that the decoration on the hat represented the relationship status of the lady wearing it. An arrow shaped ribbon was worn by women who were single but had already given their heart to someone, a knot symbolised marriage and a glamorous bow was for the single women who were interested in mingling.

To compliment the art deco style of the cloche hats we also have a collection of beaded evening bags which were another statement piece at the time. The hand-pleated silk scarf by Charles & Patricia Lester, which also features in the image above, further emphasises the sophisticated look of this era.

Spotlight on our new pieces for Autumn/ Winter 2014

This season we have a range of wonderfully unique pieces which make up our Autumn/ Winter collection.  Here's a closer look at some of our favourites.

These animal print clutch bags are right on trend for this season. Finished with a semi precious agate detailing these bags are unique, stylish and practical.

Our winter faux fur collection includes ski bands along with hats that have both suede or velvet tops. We also have beautiful sets which include fur wraps to compliment the hats creating a timeless, sophisticated look.

Great for bringing a pop of colour to your winter are our italian bobble hats.  Available in a range of fun designs at just £20.00 they will also make great Christmas gifts.

Abergavenny Food Festival & Our Conde Nast Feature

The established Abergavenny food festival is set to take place on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st. The event takes over our small market town presenting an array of local food & drinks.
